
During the CDM EB 51st meeting which ended on 4th December, 10 Chinese wind power CDM projects were rejected for registration by the EB of UNFCCC .It accused China of deliberately under-reporting the tariffs paid to the wind farms in order to qualify for the U.N. carbon trading scheme
On December 14, a news conference was held by China's major wind power enterprises in Beijng to request EB to review the registration/rejection of these 10 wind farm projects and to simplify their registration procedures. Ms.Sun Cuihua, vice-director of the National Development and Reform Commission's climate office, attended the conference and mentioned that the accusement of EB was "unfair" and "irresponsible". She said " I don't know what their motives might be, but the executive board is just unfair towards Chinese projects, saying that Chinese projects are not compliant with CDM principles, and that China is pushing down tariffs artificially, is extremely irresponsible" .

During the conference, a statement on UN cdm EB meeting 51 rejection of 10 Chinese Wind Power Project (click for full text download)has been raised out and signed by major nine Chinese wind power enterprises to request EB review the registration of these 10 projects and raise ransparency,consistency and objectivity of its registration process.
